Itinerary – Darjeeling Gangtok tour

Day 01: Siliguri/Bagdogra to Darjeeling via Mirik Lake (104 Km / approx 3.30 hrs)

Welcome to Darjeeling Gangtok Tour. On arrival at the Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station (own cost), you will be transferred to Darjeeling. En-route you will visit Mirik Lake, an ideal place for boating where on arrival you will check into your hotel.

Day 02: Darjeeling sightseeing

Early morning (around 4.00 am), you will drive to Tiger Hill to enjoy the magnificent view of sunrise and the effect of sun light over the Eastern Himalayan peaks like Mt. Kanchendzonga (28,208 ft), Kabru, Pandim etc (subject to clear weather conditions). On return to your hotel visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.

After breakfast there will be Darjeeling city tour including HMI & Darjeeling Zoo (Thursday closed), tea garden, Tenzing Rock Tibetan Self Help Refugee Centre (Sunday Closed), Rangeet Valley Passerger Ropeway etc.

Day 03: Rock Garden & Gang Maya park

After breakfast start your journey for half day excursion tour to Rock Garden & Gang Maya park. Rock Garden is situated 10 km away from Darjeeling town. The route provides excellent view of Darjeeling tea gardens. Rock Garden is a beautiful spot with natural rocks & waterfalls decorated with flowers & fountains. Another 3 km downward journey will take you to Gang Maya Park. Here you will have an opportunity to view traditional folk dance & other cultural activities of the region. The park also has lake with boating facilities.

Day 04: Darjeeling to Gangtok (120 km / 4 hrs.)

Today you will proceed on a picturesque drive to Gangtok. En route visit Peshok view point- the confluence of river Tista & Rangit. Check into your hotel in Gangtok. The rest of the afternoon is free.

Day 05: Gangtok City Tour

Proceed on a city tour visiting Ganesh Tok, tashi view point, Do Drul Chorten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Directirate of Handicrafts & Handlooms having numerous collection of Tibetian Thankss & artifacts, Enchy Monastery, Rumtek Monastery/ Ban-Jakri Falls (Any one) and the marvelous collection of orchids in the Flower Exhibition Centre.

Day 06: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

Early in the morning (7.30 am) drive for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir. Enjoy yak ride around the lake (own cost). Lunch in hotel. Evening free for shopping in famous MG Road/ Lal Market in Gangtok.

Day 07: Gangtok to Siliguri/Bagdogra (135 km. / 4 hrs.)

Drive back to Bagdogra Airport/ New Jalpaiguri railway station for your return journey. Darjeeling Gangtok Tour Package ends.

• Rates are not valid for festive seasons, summer vacation (May & June) & long weekends.
• In case of AC car, AC will not be run on the hills. AC will be available in plains only.
• Once the tour is booked, addition or alteration of service will be subject to availability & additional charge.
